Foundational Site Assessment for Scott Road, Surrey
Drawn up for a class urban design project on the Strawberry Hill / Scott Road area of Surrey, BC, this site assessment set out to establish the planning context for the community, identifying opportunities and challenges at the regional, city and local scales for the detailed design teams to use as a foundation for their proposals. The team – Anastasia Crowther, Ji-Woo Lee, Trey Schiefelbein and I – worked with the design teams to ensure that the insights produced in our analysis, and the theme of reinscribing lost connections, was useful and supportive of their proposed interventions for the community.
This was a collaborative project and the analysis was developed together as a team. For the final product, I led on developing the GIS maps to help inform our analysis.
